Pros
Large screen with a slim design, option for bell ring to notify upcoming turns, there is a mini SD card slot, approximately 2 hour battery life, web browsing ability, QWERTY or ABC Keyboard, multi destination routing,  highway lane assist, speed limit warnings, AAA tour book, and 6 million points of interest to explore. The Roadmate 5175t-LM includes a USB cable that charges the unit from a PC USB port, a car charger with a mounting system.

Cons
The GPS unit does not come with a user’s manual, but it is downloadable from the Magellan website, you are unable to change the voice on this model, your location is shown as a triangle on the map, and there is no option to change the icon, the web browser can be sluggish, it doesn’t warn you when you’re going through a traffic camera intersection as other GPS models can. Bluetooth is not included.

Conclusion
If you  are looking for a simple to use, easy to control, no major bells  whistles GPS, the Magellan Roadmate 5175t-LM is an excellent choice. There is only one choice of theme and voice options, and it will keep you from operating the controls too much. Setting the GPS up is fairly easy to do and the mounting system is very sturdy. The Wi-Fi browser is a good addition to the unit, but it does the same things as today’s smart phones. The AAA tourbook and 6 million point of interest can be useful for traveling to new areas to find the best places to go.
